Diagnostic Testing

Diagnostic Testing

Extensive Testing is an Integral Part of Our Practice

It can be very difficult to know what is going on physiologically with our patient's health without thoroughly looking at how all of their organ systems work. Laboratories provide confirmatory diagnosis and improved management of disease, essential health information and disease surveillance. Our office uses standard medical tests and advanced testing depending on the patient's needs. We take great pride in partnering with different testing companies that allow for our doctors to investigate the true cause of many chronic diseases.

ANS Testing

ANS | Ankle Brachial System | SudoMotor Function

The autonomic nervous system (ANS) regulates physiologic processes, such as blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, digestion, metabolism, fluid and electrolyte balance, sweating, urination, defecation, sexual response, and other processes. The ANS Assessment System is a quick, clinically powerful and easy to use non-invasive system to test for hidden diseases. Disease and illness such as:

  • Sudden Death
  • Silent Heart Attack
  • Syncope
  • Hypertension
  • Cardiac Autonomic Neuropathy
  • Vascular Abnormalities
  • Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome

NeuralScan Testing

A test that provides a "lab test" for the brain that can asses for potential cognitive disorders. The scan will analyze your brain waves and let us know if there are any abnormalities that correlate with your symptoms. It's a quick, painless, and easy test. Total time is about 30 minutes. Identify the underlying cause of symptoms such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Stress
  • Forgetfulness
  • Brain Fog
  • Tiredness

Allergy Testing

In this test a panel of airborne allergens (pollens, molds, animal dander, dust, and other environmental allergens) or food allergens is placed on the back. This is done with a plastic device that pricks the skin. No blood is drawn and the skin is not broken. This process takes only seconds. The skin is then allowed to rest for 15 minutes to allow the allergies to show up. You will know what you are allergic to before you leave.

Knowing what you are allergic to may allow you to avoid it or help us choose medications to better treat you. We'll formulate a plan that brings you long-term relief to allergy symptoms such as:

  • Asthma
  • Chronic Coughing
  • Chronic Nasal Infections
  • Year-Round Allergy Symptoms

Allergy testing and treatment is usually covered by insurance regardless of your deductible. Call our office for more details.

ABI

If you have been experiencing poor blood flow, pain, numbness, heaviness, bruising or muscle cramps, physician might recommend you get an ABI to check for Peripheral Artery Disease.

Peripheral Artery Disease causes poor blood flow to the legs and lower extremities because arteries are narrowed and blocked.

PAD increases your risk of heart attack, stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA, mini stroke) and other cardiovascular issues.

EEG

An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test used to evaluate the electrical activity in the brain. An EEG track and records brain wave patterns via electrodes that are attached to the scalp. The electrodes analyze the electrical impulses in the brain.

Your physician might suggest you get an EEG for multiple reasons. An EEG can help identify any abnormal patterns or irregularities in the electrical signals that are sent throughout the brain. An EEG can check for:

  • Seizure Disorders (Epilepsy)
  • Head Injuries
  • Brain Tumors
  • Memory Problems
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Stroke
  • Dementia
  • Encephalitis
  • Encephalopathy
